The location for your non-religious ceremony

Some couples come to us knowing exactly where they want to be. Others have a feeling, outdoors, somewhere old, somewhere that isn’t a function room, and we work it out from there.

Some of our favourite locations for non-religious ceremonies

We create ceremonies for people drawn to pagan traditions, nature, and the freedom to do things their own way. From handfastings in ancient stone circles to weddings, vow renewals and celebrations of life, we take the time (often months!) to really get to know you.

Every ceremony is written from scratch and can include pagan-inspired rituals, symbolism and the elements. We’ll also help you plan how it all comes together, so you’re not worrying about timing, roles, or what happens next.

Stonehenge, Wiltshire

Standing inside the stones, not outside on the path with everyone else but actually inside, is not something most people ever do. We arrange it.

We’ve held ceremonies here at dawn, mid-morning, and on winter afternoons when the light goes flat and strange. If you’re drawn to Stonehenge, it’s probably for a reason you’d struggle to explain. That’s usually a good starting point for a conversation.

Avebury, Wiltshire

Most people drive through Avebury without realising the road runs straight through the middle of a stone circle. The outer bank is over a kilometre around. Sheep graze between the stones. It doesn’t feel like a monument. It feels like somewhere people still actually use.

Ceremonies here tend to feel less formal than Stonehenge. Roomier, more relaxed. Good for larger groups, or couples who want space to breathe.

The Rollright Stones, Oxfordshire

On a ridge in the north Cotswolds, just off a road most people take to get somewhere else. Not dramatic in the way Stonehenge is dramatic, but stranger. The circle is tight, the stones worn and irregular. It feels like stumbling across something you weren’t supposed to find.

We hold smaller ceremonies here. Handfastings, vow renewals, private gatherings for people who want somewhere genuinely off the map.

Stanton Drew, Somerset

Through a farm gate, honesty box for the entry fee, circles spread across three fields. Somerset, working farmland, no visitor infrastructure. Most people don’t realise how large the site is until they’ve walked it.

It’s not well known. For some people, that’s the whole point.

Have somewhere else in mind?

These are four places we know well, but they’re not the only options. If you have a specific location in mind, somewhere that belongs to your story rather than ours, tell us about it. We’ve worked in places that weren’t on any list. That’s often where the best ceremonies happen.

Tell us where you’re drawn to

Start with the site, if you have one. Or start with the kind of ceremony and we’ll think about where it might sit. Send us a message with your date if you have it, a rough idea of numbers, and whatever else feels relevant. We’ll go from there.
