Whether you’re planning something intimate or unforgettable, we specialise in relaxed, heartfelt, non-religious deeply meaningful ceremonies that feel genuine, human, and completely yours.

What is a wedding celebrant?

A wedding celebrant is someone who creates and leads a ceremony designed entirely around you as a couple. Unlike a registrar or church service, an independent wedding celebrant isn’t limited by set scripts or traditions this means your ceremony can be as unique as your relationship. Many couples choose a celebrant for a non-religious wedding ceremony because it feels more personal, flexible, and meaningful, without compromising on emotion, atmosphere, or significance.

Your Ceremony, Your Way

With a celebrant-led wedding, there are no rules, only possibilities. As civil celebrants, we work with you to create a ceremony that reflects exactly who you both are. You can choose your venue, words, vows, poems, readings, or music, as anything is possible because the ceremony is written explicitly for you!

Nothing is standard, we work with you to create that special ceremony. Whether you want something simple and elegant, deeply romantic, or completely unconventional, your ceremony is shaped entirely around your dreams & vision. For couples looking for a non-religious wedding, this allows you to do what you want as it’s not dictated by religious convention, so no formal wording, no rigid structure, just something deeply personal.

Many ceremonies are typically symbolic, which means the legal marriage is completed separately at a registry office beforehand, allowing your celebrant ceremony to focus purely on the experience, not the paperwork. Currently celebrant weddings are not legally binding in England & Wales but the laws are being reformed, so as members of the Association Of Independent Celebrants (AOIC) we will fully aware of any changes when they happen.

Words shared with us afterwards

Being invited into these moments is something we never take lightly.

What to Expect

This is often a tender time, and we’re mindful of that. Our role is to make things feel a little lighter and less overwhelming.

01

We sit down and talk

From our first conversation, everything is relaxed, personal, and centred around you. We’ll start with an informal chat, usually via a video call, to get to know each other and talk through your ideas, your story, and what matters most to you. We will then send you a formal quote.

02

We bring everything together

We’ll begin crafting your ceremony from scratch, not from a template. You’ll have full input throughout, with opportunities to review and shape the wording so it feels exactly right. Most couples have a couple of meetings along the way, either in person or online

03

We support you on the day

On the day itself, we’ll be there to deliver your ceremony with warmth, confidence, and calm, holding the space so you can both enjoy the day. Our role is to guide, support, and make sure everything flows effortlessly.

What you might be wondering

Here are some of the things people ask us most when they’re considering a wedding ceremony.

What is a Wedding Celebrant?

A wedding celebrant is a trained professional who writes and leads your wedding ceremony. Unlike a registrar, a celebrant works with you to create something completely personal, from the structure and words to any rituals or traditions you want to include. There are no restrictions on venue, content, or style, so your ceremony reflects you as a couple.

Is a celebrant wedding legally binding?

In England and Wales, a celebrant ceremony isn’t currently legally binding on its own. You’ll need a short legal registration, either before or after your ceremony, to make it official. Many couples treat this as a quick formality and keep the celebrant ceremony as their main event, the one with all the meaning, emotion, and personal touches.

What is a celebrant wedding?

A celebrant wedding is a ceremony written and led by a professional celebrant rather than a registrar or religious leader. It gives you complete freedom over what’s said, where it’s held, and how it feels. Whether you want heartfelt vows in a forest, a ceremony full of laughter, or cultural traditions woven in, a celebrant wedding is built entirely around your story.
